Promises For You

All these blessings will come upon you
Blessed are those who wash their robes
But the needy will not always be forgotten
Delight yourself in the Lord
Don't be afraid
Fear the LORD, you his saints
For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe
God blesses the righteous
God does not reject a blameless man
God will heal your land
God with you to fight for you
He guides the humble in what is right
He will love you and bless you
I am the LORD, who heals you
I have never seen the righteous forsaken
I will send rain on your land
In famine he will ransom you from death
Live and prosper
Many will court your favor
My Presence will go with you
New Year Promise
Prosper in everything you do
Surely goodness and love will follow me
The Eternal God is your refuge
The eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth
The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer
The LORD will grant victory
The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them
Those who know your name will trust in you
Those who suffer he delivers in their suffering
Wait for the Lord
Whatever you do you will prosper
Worship the LORD your God
You have filled my heart with greater joy
You will be prosperous and successful
You will be protected from the lash of the tongue
You will be restored
You will be secure
You will come to the grave in full vigor
You will live and increase
You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning
Your work will be rewarded
Prosper in everything you do

Carefully follow the terms of this covenant, so that you may prosper in everything you do. ( Deuteronomy 29:9)

There are many Christians who fail in every venture or trade that they undertake. They hop from one job to another, one business to another, but prosperity evades them and failure is what they encounter. This verse here, exhorts every Christian to carefully follow the terms of the covenant. The Israelites had the Mosaic laws to follow and obey. For us God has put the terms of His covenant with us in His word - The Bible. The books from Matthew to Revelation, all lay down the guiding principles for Christian living. And every Christian has to carefully follow the terms of this covenant.

Many Christians fail here. They have accepted Jesus as Savior but they hardly have any lasting relationship with Him. The Bible says, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things have passed away." But for many Christians old things rarely pass away. Their relationship with the world hardly changes. Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life destroy their relationship with Jesus. They hardly come to terms with the terms of His covenant and that is where they fail.

God here (in this verse) is exhorting the Israelites to carefully follow the terms of His covenant and thereby prosper in everything they do. We as believers are also expected to obey and live according to the Word of God and thereby prosper in everything we do.
