Those who suffer he delivers in their suffering But those who suffer he delivers in their suffering; he speaks to them in their affliction. (Job 36 : 15) Have you heard God speak lately? Surely if not at other times, during afflictions most Christians do. For that is when we are tuned more into God. Of course God is speaking at all times but we miss His voice. That's because we are concentrating on numerous other voices that we are hearing and God's voice gets drowned in all that. Not that God's voice is not powerful than the other voices but our ears are more tuned to the other voices. Afflictions make us assess and re-assess ourselves. We become more acutely aware of the working of the Holy Spirit of God. We start assessing ourselves in respect to sin, righteousness and judgment. God did really speak to Job in his affliction, not to destroy him but to restore him. Our God is one who delivers us in our suffering. You may have experienced that in your lives several times but this is another time to refresh your memory regarding this promise. Are you afflicted by sickness? Or is it a family problem? Is it a problem with your finances? Take heart. Jesus will deliver you from this suffering that you are going through. He will not let you down. Let your heart be revived this day. We have a loving Savior and nothing's too difficult for him to solve. Remember, he delivered Job. He will deliver you too. |
