God will heal
your land
If
my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek
my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will
forgive their sin and will heal their land.( 2 Chronicles 7:14)
When King Solomon, David’s son, had finished
building the temple of the Lord, the Lord appeared to him at night and told him
that He had heard his prayer and chosen that place as a temple for sacrifices.
And then He told Solomon “When He, God shut up the heavens so that there was no
rain or commanded locusts to devour the land or send a plague among them, His
people who were called by His name had to do several things:
- Humble
themselves
- Pray
and seek His face
- Turn
from their wicked ways
Now why would God shut up the heavens,
command locusts to devour or send a plague among them? Simply because they
would have become proud, they did not pray and seek His face and they had gone
into wicked ways.
For God to hear from heaven, to forgive their
sin and heal their land they had to humble themselves, pray and seek his face
and turn from their wicked ways. Has God shut up the heavens in your life? Are
locusts (the enemy) devouring your finances? Are you continually sick? Humble
yourself, pray and seek his face, turn from ways that are displeasing to Him
and He will restore you wonderfully. Remember God loves you. Trust in His word.
