New
Year Promise
“I
am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back
to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised
you."( Genesis 28:15)
What
a great promise to start a new year. God promises that He is with you as
Immanuel, which means God with us.
Perhaps
last year was tormenting with trials and tribulations galore. The fact that you
have made it to January 1 this year itself is a miracle. Remember it’s all
because Jesus was with you. You were not among the countless who took their own
lives because of the heavy burdens that they had to carry. That’s because they
never knew the Savior or even if they did, they did not have a lasting
relationship with him.
Jesus
promises to be with you this new year and watch over you wherever you go. He
says He will not leave you until he has done what He has promised you. The
promises that were never fulfilled last year! The prayer that you didn’t see an
answer to last year! God’s says He will not leave you until he does what He has
promised you.
God
gave the promise that you read above to Jacob as he traveled away from home.
God told him that He would bring him back to the same land. It took 20 years
for this part of the promise to be fulfilled. But God was faithful. He
fulfilled all that he told Jacob in Genesis 28:15. So cheer up dear friend.
Remember Jesus loves you. He will fulfill what He has promised you. God bless
