Your work will be rewarded
But as for you, be strong and do not give
up, for your work will be rewarded. ( 2 Chronicles 15:7)
Are
you planning to give up? Are you fed up by all the problems that you are facing
these days? God says, “Be strong and do not give up.”
Are
you not paid enough for all the work that you do? Do others torment you by
their offensive behavior and words? Jesus says, “Do not give up” “Your work
will be rewarded.” You have been kind, you have been generous; in return you
have been hated and despised. You may be at your wit’s end. You may be saying,
“I give up” “I give up”. Jesus says, “Not yet” “Not yet” The writer of Hebrews
says, “We do not want you to become
lazy, but to initiate those who through faith and patience inherit what has
been promised.” (Hebrews 6:12)
Look
into the Word of God and you will find so many examples of how God exalted
those who trusted in him and were patient despite their trying circumstances.
Joseph,
David, Elisha and others had a long wait to inherit what had been promised to
them but they finally did get their reward. Joseph became the Prime Minister of
Egypt, David became the King of Israel and Elisha received a double portion of
the Holy Spirit power that he asked God for. So don’t give up. God will change
your circumstances in your favor soon. Don’t give up! Not yet!
